What are you sitting on when you practice? Is it comfortable? If not, come up with a solution, such as a pillow, raising or lowering height, using something with a back, etc.
Find something that will keep your thighs parallel to the ground and your back straight. Experiment with different chairs and surfaces, and see what works best.
You may be using a chair or surface out of habit, without having given it much thought. If so, experiment with alternatives.
