Create various set lists for performing. Create a one-song set list, a 30-minute set list, and a 60-minute set list. Be sure to include time for talking (such as introductions to the songs) and applause.
Experiment with different song sequences, noticing which sequences work the best. Take into account dynamics, speed, style or flavor, popularity, variety, etc, when setting the order. Have an encore song ready as well.
Choose songs that you can play well. Of you want to try out newer songs, only choose one or two.
